Got a great blog? Is that what you think? But think again. Are you having those ‘Must Elements’  on your Blog?.
The competition is always getting tighter in the blogosphere and you should not miss an impression by missing something on your blog.

In this article, I will be sharing some elements your blog should have to keep it straight and to stand out in the crowd. Try taking care of these, and you won’t regret it. Good luck. Let’s get straight to it.

Roll up your sleeves and let’s fuel up your blog to push it to the top.

Perfect Logo

First of all, ask yourself. Are you having a unique and brand logo for your Blog? If not, then I highly recommend you to get one.

When I said Perfect, what I meant is a good, unique and professional logo that would set place in the hearts of your readers and make them reminded that you are doing it the professional way. Having a logo is always worth it.

It doesn’t matter if you pay to get one done or design yourself, but you must have one for sure. Keep these things in mind to make your logo catch those eyes.

  • Simple enough.
  • Transparent background. Always use .png format.
  • Don’t apply too much effects. Remember that standard is professional.
  • Keep the size about 280*90 or near that.

Still sitting bored? :P . Get one for your Blog. Oh! You might wanna read the rest. Right ? :) Go on.

Subscription Facility

To be frank, this is something I have forgotten about till last month. Yeah! I didn’t had a proper subscribing form or widget on my blogs. Calculating all those loyal readers I’ve missed, it’s a load mistake that I’ve did.

After implementing a subscription widget on my blogs, I’ve seen a raise of returning visitors (bounce rate) and each day the number of people who subscribed actually started to increase.

If you write content worth gaining the love of your readers, you must have a facility for them to subscribe in your blog for sure.
When they read your articles and want to keep in touch, let them stay updated using the subscribing facility.

Never miss it ;)

Social Sharing Widgets

How would your readers be able to spread the love if you don’t help them with it ?.
This is something I’ve noticed that many professional bloggers are still missing. Social networks and online interactions are getting more prominent these days and there is no doubt that your online business will get a perfect raise from those each shares and bookmarks.

Implement a simple yet powerful social sharing widget on your blog and give a chance for your readers to love your blog. Sharing is caring and they know it.

Don’t forget to include these top items on the widget.

  • Facebook
  • Twitter
  • Google Plus (plus button)
  • linkedin
  • Pinterest

Proper Navigation Facility

Just think of a situation on which your readers get totally lost on your blog and get confused on what to do next. They are bound to leave your blog. Oh! and that’s horrible. Right? :(
I know you don’t want that! ;)

Always keep it simple for your readers to go through your Blog and read articles like a chain.
They must always see your catchy article headingBlogging Essentialss somewhere they stops so that they can start reading them.

Make sure your Blog have..

  • A simple and Powerful layout.
  • Home page that show titles and excerpts of at least 9 blog posts.
  • Popular Posts widget.
  • Related posts widget at the very end of the articles.
  • Interlinking of articles in each articles also helps.
Try linking your content with related content when you happen to describe about them.
  • A  footer with Recent posts and Top Posts.
  • And at last, the 404 – Page. It keeps the readers to start over when they are lost out in your blog.

Commenting Area

I suggest you read my article about : Being a Friendly Blogger when you got time. :)

Your readers are the blood of your blog and they make it alive. Then, what’s a blog without engagements and interactions.

Give a chance for your readers to interact through your blog. Let them leave comments, appreciate and thank you, ask you doubts, point out mistakes and items you’ve missed. They will love it that way.

Over to You.

Okay cowboy. I think you got em’ all.Now what are you waiting for, roll up your sleeves and start working :)

    Hey Amal,

I used to have a logo, but I realized the best logo for me (since I’m in the network marketing industry) is my name, because I brand myself (a face with a name) so I decided to keep it simple; wiped out the logo.
    great tips btw!

    • Hey Akos.
      Happy to see you here.
Branding yourself is not such a bad thing. After all, it works for some people. But it doesn’t mean you can’t have a Logo. Try a logo with your Cartoon avatar and use some fonts near the face. It may work.
Good luck. Hope to see you around! :)

  4. Great post…it really gonna help in improving my blog… :)
