Commenting on other Blogs can result in Backlinks and sometimes huge traffic to your blog. It also helps you to build a strong online presence and reputation. But what if you don’t get your comments approved? It will be a huge waste of time. Right? Even if some blogs accept poor comments maybe without reviewing them, I can’t say they are worth it.
Last month, I participated on a blog (We will call it Blog X.) which was quite popular among the blogosphere. I got engaged in a single post and tried to grab some attention from other readers. 1 week came by and there were no results. But when I looked into the traffic sources on the next week, I was totally amazed. It was like 250 to 300 Unique, Loyal readers to my blog from that exact source. And most of them subscribed and now reads loyally from my blog. Now, I comment on blogs just like a mad man.

I would like to add a few things. If you are going to be a serious blogger? You absolutely HAVE to have a GRAVATAR with a headshot picture.
Don’t kiss the bloggers butt to try and get your comment approved – I know I absolutely loathe it!
And make sure your comment adds to the article or asks questions.

It’s Awesome info that u provided. Thank you for sharing this
Hey Ajay. Hope you liked it.
hey Amal!
I like your research idea. Very practical!
Now, allow me to share my own commenting method. Won’t talk on the research part as I follow a similar model, although more a combination of yours and other techniques.
I usually have a bookmark folder with a dozen of blogs I prefer reading often, where I comment, and care less about do-follow or ComLuv (although this helps in SERPs). That’s about it!
When it comes to actual writing of the comment, I have a unique strategy (I talked about this in guest posts and other comments on different sites)
I usually spend 15 minutes per comment, reading each post (not skimming it). I actually copy-paste the whole article inside the word doc, then I start writing my thoughts, or ask questions, etc.
If the article is not lengthy (you know those huge resource/lists type posts, right?), I just copy-paste samples of it, and start commenting…
Once I’m done with it, and once it looks “perfect”, then I copy-paste the whole comment into the commenting field
Also, I make use of a Firefox add-on called easyComment to fill out my other personal details like name, email, website url. You should try it too.
With this method I spend 60 minutes writing and submitting 4 comments; sometimes I do more like 6 or 7 per hour. Some comments might be shorter, as they require a short answer, although I try to pack as much value and info as possible – as I’m doing here. Haven’t you already noticed?
